E. Description of services
The Building Surveyor will perform all work necessary to comply with relevant statutory requirements, including:
- inspecting the swimming pool/spa barrier
- assessing whether the swimming pool/spa barrier complies with the requirements for the issue of a certificate of compliance under Part 9A of the Building Regulations 2018
- issuing a certificate of pool and spa barrier compliance to the Client if the swimming pool/spa barrier complies
- issuing the following if the swimming pool/spa barrier is non-compliant: 1) written notice under clause 147ZG detailing matters in respect of the non-compliance to be rectified or 2) a certificate of non-compliance in accordance with 147ZG & 147ZH
- providing a copy of the above notices to the owner as soon as practical after the inspection
- if necessary, re-inspecting the swimming pool/spa, and issuing certificates and/or written notices, as appropriate.
*Note: Once a first inspection has been conducted, no other subsequent inspector may be engaged. If I am prevented from conducting any required reinspection, a Certificate of Pool and Spa Non-Compliance will be issued after the due date for compliance stated in the inspection report; in accordance with Clause 147ZG (5).
