The Jason Husband Memorial Scholarship celebrates the life and legacy of a generous leader who believed leadership was not about roles or titles. For Jason Husband, leadership was a way of being. It meant showing up for others, offering encouragement, creating space, and pushing people to believe in themselves.
This scholarship recognises an emerging professional who reflects these same values. It is awarded to someone who leads by lifting the mana of others, who supports their peers, and who is committed to building a more inclusive and people-centred future for the recreation sector.
The recipient will receive:
- Full attendance at the Generate Network Conference, including travel and accommodation.
- One year membership to the Generate Network.
- An opportunity to join a Generate Network Sub-Committee.
- A place in the Tuakana-Teina mentoring programme.
You will need to get your direct manager to approve you attending the conference.
To apply for the scholarship, please complete this Jotform or answer the questions on the form via video and email through to tracey@nzrecreation.org.nz using We.Transfer before 5pm on Friday 15th of August
