📢 Recruiter Expectations & Payment Process
Veteran Housing Referral Program
🔹 What Your Role Is
As a Recruiting Agent, your role is simple:
Reach out to homeowners online (social media, Facebook groups, Marketplace, Craigslist, etc.)
Introduce them to our Veteran Housing Leasing Program
Have interested homeowners complete our homeowner intake form
You do NOT negotiate rent, terms, or contracts
You do NOT manage property or collect rent
Your job is referral only.
🔹 What Counts as a Successful Referral
A referral is considered successful when:
You submit a homeowner who owns or controls the property
The homeowner completes our intake form with accurate information
We review and approve the property
A lease or placement agreement is fully executed
⚠️ Simply sending a name or phone number does not count.
Payment is made only after the contract is completed.
💵 How & When You Get Paid
You earn $25 per successful homeowner referral
Payment is issued after the contract is finalized
Payments are made electronically (Cash App, Zelle, ACH, etc.)
No advances, no partial payments
🧾 Important: W-9 Form Requirement
Because recruiters are paid as independent contractors, the IRS requires us to collect a W-9 form.
What this means:
We do not withhold taxes
You are responsible for reporting your income
If you earn $600 or more in a year, you will receive a 1099-NEC
What you must do:
Complete and return a W-9 form before receiving payment
This is required even if you only expect to earn a small amount
