Ambassador Assignments
Please only select the area where you are fully comfortable serving as an Ambassador. It is very important that you notify the Ambassador Chair if you have signed up but are no longer able to volunteer. Also please note that each section below shows the times required for each Ambassador role. We will announce the Ambassador orientation where we will distribute additional information. All times are for May 3, 2025.
SIGN IN TENT 7:00a - 2:00p Ambassador Sign In- Assist in the distribution of parade credentials to all members and ambassadors on parade day at the check in tent.
SIGN IN TENT 2:00p - 8:00p Ambassador Sign In- Assist in the distribution of parade credentials to all members and ambassadors on parade day at the check in tent.
SIGN OUT TENT 8:00p - 11:00p Ambassador Sign Out- Assist in the check in of parade property such as radios, tablets, credentials that were issued to members and ambassadors on parade day.
DISBANDING AREA 2:00p - 11:00p Assist in the disbanding of the parade and collecting all property of the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association such as banners, signs, torches, etc.
JUDGING AREA RUNNER 5:00p - 11:00p A runner is responsible for assisting the Judging Director in completing tasks such as running errands in the area, delivering messages and forms, and performing basic duties on parade day. Runner will also be assisting the panel of Judges with any needs that may arise.
MERCH SALES 2:00p - 6:00p Merchandise Ambassadors will be responsible for selling parade merchandise along the parade route. You will work in a group and be required to walk the parade route. Must be comfortable handling credit card transactions.
TORCH CARRIERS 5:00p - 11:00p Must be able to walk the 2.6 mile parade route carrying a live flame torch. Those who volunteer in this capacity must be a minimum of 21 years old.
BANNER CARRIERS 5:00p - 11:00p Banner carriers are grouped in teams of two and walk and carry an assigned parade banner through the 2.6 mile parade route.
PARADE MARSHALS 3:00p - 11:00p Be firm, but friendly. You'll help pace the parade flow and keep the route clear of obstacles. Be safety conscious. You will need to maintain the curb line, preventing spectators from moving into the street.
MARSHALING ASSISTANTS. Will assist parade section captains ensure that all entries are in their appropriate assigned location and ready. Must be comfortable working a two way radio as well as reading and understanding maps. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and will be required to be on site the entire shift as assigned.
COMPLIANCE ASST. 3:00p - 11:00p Will assist the Compliance Director in the inspection of all units in the forming area on parade day. This position requires walking, standing, using a tape measure, climbing onto units for inspection and working well with others.
PARADE SEAT USHERS 3:00p - 11:00p Escort ticket holders to their seats, check their tickets and answer any questions they may have., they will have needed to purchase a seat for ice chests prior to the parade. Ability to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs in the bleacher areas outdoor throughout the duration of the shift. Ability to work outdoor event in hot, cold, wet or windy conditions throughout duration of the shift.
PARADE DIRECTOR ASSISTANTS 3:00p - 11:00p Will assist the Parade Director in various capacities as assigned. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and will be required to be on site the entire shift as assigned.
PR DIRECTOR ASSISTANTS 4:00p - 9:00p Must have customer service background and available to work from 4pm to 9pm. Must be flexible to changing assignments, friendly, an able to adapt to demanding or possibly emergency situations.
VAN DRIVER- 2:00p - 11:00p This position requires driving of a rental passenger van to shuttle VIP's and other dignitaries to their locations as needed. Must be 25 years old or older.
FLEXIBLE- PUT ME WHERE YOU NEED ME 10:00a - 7:00p This position will likely place you to assist in some capacity in the parade forming area. Must be available to assist in various capacities as mentioned above as well as other assigned duties.
