Farm Credit of the Virginias 2025 Agricultural Career Enhancement (ACE) Grant Application

For Postsecondary Education Institutions
Grants will be awarded for up to $10,000 in funding per institution. To be considered for funding, the organization’s values and purpose must align with the objectives of Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV). Applications will be accepted August 1-September 30, 2025. Please answer all questions as completely as possible.

Program Requirements & Guidelines
- Applying organizations and the program under consideration must be located within the Farm Credit of the Virginias footprint or benefit students from within the Farm Credit of the Virginias’ territory (including cities/towns located within the counties served by FCV).
- Requests must be consistent with the values and mission of Farm Credit of the Virginias.
- Farm Credit of the Virginias will not provide critiques of proposals submitted.
- Funds will not be awarded to individuals, private farms, cooperative extension or agricultural research programs.
- Farm Credit of the Virginias may choose to fully or partially fund requests. Previous funding does not guarantee continuing support to any organization. Funding is discretionary and restricted to the specific purpose for which it was awarded.
- If awarded, funds must be expended by December 31, 2026.
Restrictions
- Programs and institutions that do not support agriculture or agricultural education.
- Contributions for political support purposes, student scholarships or memberships in professional societies or trade organizations.
- Elementary, middle or high school agricultural programs.
- Individual or personal endeavors or projects, or individual farm operations.
- Participation or entrance fees for charitable events or financing of charitable organizations.
- Religious or sectarian programs or groups that benefit the specific organization.
- Political campaigns, candidates, lobbying groups or causes. Sports teams or athletic events and competition, including equipment or uniforms related to sports.
- School activities that are not related to agriculture (bands, choirs, fine arts programs, etc.).
- Private foundations promoting personal hobbies.
- Organizations or programs that are inconsistent with or do not align with non-discrimination, ethics or other FCV policies, values or mission.
- Organizations that in any way pose a conflict with Farm Credit of the Virginias’ goals, programs, services or Farm Credit of the Virginias employees or Directors.
Other Considerations
- This program is open to all postsecondary education programs (including four-year institutions), though priority will be given to associate degree programs and agricultural certification programs.
- This grant will prioritize applications for agricultural science and agricultural production programs.
- Institutions will have the opportunity to submit applications for multiple programs – all eligible program applications will be considered, but FCV’s priority will be to support organizations across our territory.
