Calling all dog lovers, Pride pooches and pups - Ginny Lemon’s Dog Show is BACK for 2025 and applications to take part are now open!

Get down to Sackville Gardens on Sunday 25th August for an unmissable doggy extravaganza celebrating our four-legged (and two-legged) friends.

We’ll be showcasing Pride pooches, dog lovers and pups galore, so join us for an afternoon of festivities and outrageous antics with the one and only Ginny Lemon.

This is a safe and accessible event suitable for families, but please note that the second part of the show will contain adult themes. A short break will be announced before our pups take to the stage, so anyone who wishes to leave is given plenty of time to do so.

** Ginny Lemon's Dog Show is part of the Gay Village Party and will require a wristband for entry*

  • CATEGORIES FOR DOGS

    Pooper-Scooper Pride Agility Course
Owners must navigate their dogs through a rainbow obstacle course of hurdles, tunnels, and cones. Points will be awarded for style, dexterity, behaviour, and giving it a good effort - points may be deducted if we need to use the emergency pooper-scooper.

    Doggy Style
In this category, owners should dress their dogs in their most fabulous dress-up outfits and accessories, give us high fashion doggy realness! Owners will be asked about their dog’s outfit, and the judge will look for the best outfit and how well it suits the dog.

    Mongrel Mince
Dogs and owners will walk down the runway (our dogwalk) to show off their best moves. Judges will want to see attitude, confidence, and a good strut from doggy & owner. This is the time to showcase your best trick (sit, roll-over, dance, backflip - we want to see it).

Judges will award an overall Best In Show for dogs and for pups - choosing between the winners of each category.

Ginny will also award the ‘FOR THE LOVE OF PAUL’ award in memory of Paul O’Grady, a special prize for a dog who did not place in any of the categories but stole the audience’s hearts.

    CATEGORIES FOR PUPS

    Dark Room Agility Course
Pups must navigate their way through a rainbow obstacle course of hurdles, tunnels, and cones (a bit like a saturday night in the backroom of The Eagle). Points will be awarded for style, dexterity, behaviour, and giving it a good effort - points may be deducted if we need to use the emergency pooper-scooper.

    Doggy Style
Pups should come ready to show us their most fabulous pup-looks, we want to see outfits, accessories and presentation, give us just got to the pound high fashion realness! Pups and/or handlers will be asked about their dog’s outfit, and we’ll want to hear the best howl or bark from each pup. Judges will look for the best dressed pup, how their look shows their personality, and matches their howl.

Man’s best friend (of all genders)
Dogs and owners will walk down the runway (our dogwalk) to show off their best moves. Judges will want to see attitude, confidence, and a good strut from doggy & owner. This is the time to showcase your best trick (sit, roll-over, dance, backflip - we want to see it).

Judges will award on overall Best In Show - choosing between the winners of each category.
