Adult Learning Practices for EC-PBIS Registration Form

Format: Virtual, via Zoom

Description: This 3 hour course will introduce participants to the 6 adult learning principles from Jim Knowles and provide practice and information on how to incorporate them into the EC-PBIS modules.

Prerequisites:

You must have taken an Iowa EC-PBIS Module Train the Trainer for the Infant/Toddler Modules, Preschool Modules or Family Child Care Modules.
You are required to be an approved trainer with a training organization/entity. This prerequisite is required because participants can only receive licensure and IQ4K training credit if they are trained by a trainer approved by an organization/entity to train.

All EC-PBIS Module trainers will be expected to complete a 3-hour Adult Learning Practices course. This course will be incorporated into all the Train the Trainers starting in 2025-26 that new trainers attend. This registration is for stand alone offerings of the Adult Learning Practices for EC-PBIS course that are open to current trainers who have already attended a Train the Trainer course for at least 1 EC-PBIS Module strand. Attending this course will meet the requirement for attending a “booster” session to stay a current and active trainer.
Please note that a minimum number of 10 participants will be required for this training to be held. You will be notified at least 1 week before the training if it is cancelled due to low registration.

*Approved trainer status will be verified through I-PoWeR. Registrants who are currently in I-PoWeR and have a designated role of "Adult Educator/Instructor" through an Iowa EC-PBIS approved training organization will be approved without the need of further evidence. If you are currently using I-PoWeR but have not set up the Adult Educator/Instructor role or do not currently use I-PoWeR, please upload any evidence you have of your trainer approval status (ex. letter from employer, email approval, certificate, etc.) below. If you do not submit any evidence, you and/or the training organization through which you are an approved trainer will be contacted to verify this prerequisite.
