We're excited that you're looking to bring home a new family member!
Please only fill out this form if the animal you are interested in is in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting an animal in the shelter, you can come by to meet them, no appointment needed! See our open hours here.
What is a foster home?
These animals are not at the shelter; they are living in temporary homes, usually becuase the shelter is too stressful for them. For many of them, their foster family has been caring them for at least a few weeks and knows a lot about them.
What is the adoption process?
- Virtual Meet & Greet. After we receive your interest form, our Adoptions team will call you to talk to you about their behavior and medical history and to schedule a meet & greet with the foster home. The foster parent will show you their foster animal and answer any questions you may have about them. If you have already met them, we will skip this step.
- Shelter Meet & Greet / Pick-Up. Our team will schedule you to pick up the animal at the shelter. Cats go straight home with you, but for dogs and rabbits you can do a meet-and-greet at the shelter first.
- Complete paperwork. Provide an ID, pay the adoption fee, and sign the adoption agreement. Some adult animals are also eligible for a 3-day Foster-to-Adopt prior to completing the adoption.
- Take your new family member home!
