Located in the heart of St Kilda's creative precinct, Artful Yoga Gallery is a not-for-profit gallery committed to helping emerging and underrepresented artists gain confidence, exposure and real-world exhibition experience.
Whether this is your first exhibition or your fiftieth, our role is simple:

WHAT YOU GET WHEN EXHIBITING WITH US?
1. A BUILT-IN AUDIENCE
One of the hardest parts of exhibiting is getting people through the door.
Over the past four years, Artful Yoga Gallery has built a vibrant community through hundreds of events spanning art, wellness, music, personal development and cultural experiences.
As an exhibiting artist, you gain access to:
• Exposure to our existing audience and mailing list
• Promotion across our social media channels
• Inclusion in gallery marketing campaigns
• Opening night promotion
• Opportunities to connect with collectors, creatives and collaborators
2. GUIDANCE THROUGH THE ENTIRE PROCESS
Many artists have incredible work but little experience exhibiting.
We help bridge that gap.
Support may include:

• Curatorial guidance

3. REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE
Exhibiting is a skill.
At AYG you'll gain first-hand experience in:
• Preparing artwork for exhibition
• Presenting and speaking about your work
• Marketing your exhibition
• Hosting an opening night
• Engaging with collectors and buyers
• Understanding gallery operations
For many artists, this becomes the stepping stone to larger exhibitions and future opportunities.
4. COMMUNITY & CONNECTION
Art can be isolating.
AYG is intentionally built around community.
You'll become part of a network of artists, creatives, facilitators, musicians, photographers and entrepreneurs who regularly collaborate within our space.
Many artists leave with more than sales.
They leave with friendships, opportunities and future collaborations.
5. FLEXIBILITY
Artists may exhibit for periods ranging from one week to eight weeks.
Works may be rotated throughout the exhibition period with prior arrangement.
6. GIVING BACK
Every exhibition directly contributes to our mission of making art and wellbeing more accessible to the community. As a not-for-profit, every dollar earned is reinvested into creating meaningful programs, events and opportunities for others to heal, connect and grow.
EXHIBITION FEES
Ground Floor Gallery
$500 (inc GST) per week
Upstairs Mezzanine Gallery
$300 (inc GST) per week
Curatorial Support
$40 (inc GST) per hour
This may include:
• Hanging works
• Exhibition layout
• Artwork labels
• Curatorial advice
• Re-hanging sold works
• Exhibition adjustments
OPENING NIGHT PACKAGE
As an exhibiting artist, you receive access to our venue at a heavily subsidised rate.
Venue Hire:
$80 (inc GST) per hour
Staff:
$40 (inc GST) per hour
(Recommended: 1 staff member per 25–30 guests)
Cleaning:
$200 (inc GST)
We can also assist with:
• Bar service
• Catering
• Music and entertainment
• Workshops and artist talks
GALLERY OPEN HOURS
Your exhibition will be open to the public for up to four days per week, approximately four hours per day, with gallery staff available to welcome visitors and assist with artwork enquiries and sales.
Additional open hours can be arranged by agreement.
ARTWORK SALES
Artful Yoga Gallery acts as an agent for artwork sales.
A commission of 30% applies to all works sold during the exhibition period.
The remaining 70% will be transferred to the artist within 10 business days of receiving cleared funds.
INSURANCE
Artful Yoga Gallery maintains Public Liability Insurance of up to $20 million for gallery operations and visitors to the space.
However, artists remain responsible for insuring their own artworks and personal property during transportation, installation, exhibition and collection. Artwork is exhibited at the artist's own risk.
