Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary(PHS) Rattlesnake Relocation Volunteer Team! We are passionate about the conservation of native animals and are excited to offer this chance to be a part of our team.
In order to be applicable for the Rattlesnake Relocation Volunteer Program, you will need to be able to work in all weather conditions and while doing so that you might encounter scorpions, spiders and other wildlife while performing a relocation.
In addition to relocating rattlesnakes, volunteers must be able to communicate and educate the public per PHS's rules and protocols.

Please know that everything we ask for in this process is to help us get to know you, your background, and specific interests. All information gathered in the volunteer application is confidential, as we value our volunteers’ privacy.
Physical Demands
• While performing rattlesnake relocations, volunteers are regularly required to, sit, stand, kneel, crouch, walk for extended periods of time
• Volunteers should be able to move up to 15 lbs in all directions
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
Liability
PHS is not liable for any individual who might receive an infraction(s) and/or penailty(s) from Arizona Law Enforcement, including Arizona Game and Fish, if they are not in compliance with the rules and regulations put forward by the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary while participating in the Rattlesnake Relocation Volunteer Team.
Volunteers who are a part of the PHS Rattlesnake Relocation Volunteer Program must have their own Health Insurance, PHS is not liable for you during animal removal calls and must have signed the Rattlesnake Relocation Liability form.
Please note that at any point you are in violation of PHS's rules, regulations and protocols, PHS has the right to remove you from the Ratlesnake Relocation Volunteer Team. We provide a professional service to the public and expect all who particpate in this program to follow all rules, regulations and protocols set forth by PHS at all times when performing relocations.
