  • At DivorceYou.Online, our mission is to provide professional, high-quality services tailored to your specific needs. We are dedicated to helping you succeed with reliable and efficient solutions. While we do not offer legal advice or court representation, our goal is to guide you through the divorce process at a cost far more affordable than traditional legal services.

    Breakdown of the process

    • Non-refundable payment: This payment secures the non-attorney's availability and may cover initial work like drafting petitions and reviewing documents. Even if the divorce settles quickly, this fee is typically considered earned and won't be refunded.
    • County filing fees: In addition to the initial payment, you'll be responsible for court filing fees which vary slightly by county but are generally around $409-$450.
    • Waiver of fees: If you cannot afford the court fees, you can apply for a fee waiver (also known as an application for determination of indigent status).
    • Fee waiver eligibility: Eligibility for a fee waiver is generally based on receiving public benefits or having a household income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
    • Applying for a waiver: You can request a fee waiver by completing the Application for Determination of Indigent Status and submitting it to the court clerk when you file your divorce petition. The clerk's office will determine if you qualify.
    • Deduction from final invoice: If you proceed with the divorce, the initial non-refundable payment of $50 will be deducted from your final invoice.
    • Non-Attorney Guidance:Our Florida Non-Attorney will guide you through the process, prepare the necessary documents and follow up with the court.  Our fees vary depending on the complexity of the case and the number of documents that must be submitted on your behalf.
    • Notarization: All documents must be notarized before submitting to the county for processing. We work with a list of Remote Notaries that will come to you via your preferred smart device.  You may also choose your own notary or a bank notary as your preference.
    • Additional Resources: Please note that we specialize exclusively in Simple Mutual Agreement divorces. We do not provide legal advice or legal representation. If we determine that your case requires additional legal assistance, we will inform you before proceeding with the next steps.

For complex or contested divorces, we recommend consulting with a licensed divorce attorney. You can find qualified professionals by visiting www.floridabar.org.
