2025-26 Philip Broome Legacy Scholarship Application

SCHOLARSHIP GENERAL INFORMATION: The Philip Broome Legacy Scholarship was established to reward a deserving high school senior or current college student at United Futbol Academy who can demonstrate their leadership and motivational skills, similar to those modeled by beloved coach, Philip Broome. The scholarship program provides a $5,000 scholarship to a deserving UFA player who is preparing for college. As part of your application, please submit an essay (minimum of 750 words), reflecting on a leadership role you’ve held—whether in school, sports, community service, or another setting. Your essay should focus on how you were able to take your leadership beyond personal success to inspire others and contribute positively to the development of others, the community and/or society. We are looking for more than just a list of attributes. Explain how your leadership qualities set you apart from others and how they have shaped your character, decision-making, and future goals. This is your opportunity to show us how you lead, learn, and most importantly make an impact on the road to building your legacy.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants for the Philip Broome Legacy Scholarship must be a current UFA player and high school senior or current college student. The applicant must be currently attending or planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution or technical vocational/trade school. The applicant must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: November 30th

NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: The winner will be selected by a volunteer committee along with the Broome Family. Winner will be notified by email and/or phone and announced at the UFA Senior Celebration.
