    Annie Singleton Community Award – Nomination Form

  • The Annie Singleton Community Award celebrate women who embody the legacy of Annie C. Singleton through impactful leadership, service, and empowerment. This includes community advocates, nonprofit leaders, and businesswomen who are driving change and building legacy in their communities.

    Eligibility Criteria
    Nominees must:

    • A woman.
    • Be 21 years of age or older.
    • Reside in or have strong ties to the Southern Maryland region (Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's counties and Southern PG county).
    • Be active in one or more of the following:
      • Civic or nonprofit leadership
      • Corporate leadership or organizational influence
      • Small business or entrepreneurship
      • Social impact or grassroots organizing 
      • Education & youth development

    Submission Requirements - Required

    • Completed nomination form
    • Nomination letter (750 words max)

    • Resume or professional bio

  • Nominees should exemplify at least three of the following:

    Community Impact
    Demonstrates a measurable contribution to the community through service, philanthropy, or advocacy.

    Entrepreneurial or Corporate Excellence

    • Entrepreneurs: Successfully leads or operates a business that drives innovation and community benefit.
    • Corporate Leaders: Demonstrates leadership in driving organizational impact, culture change, inclusion, or mentorship from within a company or institution.

    Leadership & Legacy
    Leads with purpose, builds influence, and is recognized as a trailblazer or changemaker in her field.

    Mentorship & Uplift
    Actively supports the growth and advancement of others, particularly women and youth, through formal or informal mentorship.

    Values-Driven Action
    Embodies the legacy of Annie C. Singleton—demonstrating service, selflessness, and support for others in all spheres of life.
