• EU-1000MF Pre-Installation Site Survey

    Prior to SALE of the EU-1000MF printer, Roland DGA Corporation requires that you complete this mandatory survey document and return the completed document to Roland DGA Customer Service. This initial step will help to ensure the best possible delivery and installation of your new EU-1000MF.

    The information in this survey will ensure that you are prepared to receive the machine shipment and have a smooth installation experience. Failure to prepare for the arrival of the printer via the freight company will result in additional freight charges. Delivery does not include removal from the delivery truck. A forklift will be needed. Failure to prepare facilities and electrical needs before the arrival of installation personnel will result in additional installation charges.

    The printer should be uncrated and rolled into the final position.

    It is the customer's responsibility to note any shipping damage when the machine arrives. Please note damage on the receiving documents and provide Roland with pictures of the damage.

  • Delay of Services

    Required Power Configuration

    Voltage and Frequency: single-phase AC 220v, 50/60 Hz, 30 amp

    Required power capacity: 30A or more (220volts from outlet required)

    Number of power outlets: (1) 20-foot bare-wire cable for hardwired connection (PLUG AND RECEPTACLE ARE NOT INCLUDED, although the connection to the printer is included)

    A licensed electrician MUST install the plug and receptacle to meet local codes.

     The power cord plugs into the rear of the printer.

     

    Delivery & Placement

     

    The EU-1000MF will be delivered in one shipping crate. The crate is approximately 3960 lbs. and MUST be offloaded with a minimum of a 5000lb forklift with 72” extended forks by an authorized forklift operator. The EU-1000MF will then be removed from the crate by an authorized forklift operator and placed on the concrete floor to be rolled into place.

    A Roland technician will not be on-site. Guidance is available via phone or video conference only and must be scheduled ahead of time.

    Doorways and Corridors MUST be greater than 86.6” wide.

    If the EU-1000MF needs to be installed above/below ground level: Ensure a FREIGHT elevator is available that will accept the EU-1000MF printer’s width of 189.4” and depth of 86.6” or more.

    NOTE: The installation team is not involved with the unloading or unpacking of the unit and cannot begin work until this has been completed.

    If the buyer and dealer would prefer 3rd-party rigging and installation coordinated for them, please speak with your local Roland Sales Manager.

    • Dual Core CPU, 2.0 GHz CPU or faster
    • 16 GB RAM or more
    • 100 GB Free Space on Hard Drive

    • 100 Mb/s Ethernet network card (Two Ethernet ports are needed if Wifi is not available to connect to the internet/networking services for the PC)
    • High-Resolution monitor - SXGA (1,280 X 1,024 pixels) or better.

    If installing other color management software, please make sure it meets the respective software requirements.

    Ensure that the network and computer administrator or IT department will be present to configure the computer and the VersaObject.  A static IP Address will need to be assigned to the printer to match the network.

    Roland Print EXP Controller Software Installation:

    The PrintEXP is software to check the status of the machine and change the machine's settings. You will perform the following operations using the Print Control software:

    • Displaying the machine status or settings
    • Managing tasks or checking the printing status
    • Printing a RIP file or displaying previews

  • Ink configuration and warranty information

    The EU-1000MF has two ink configurations available with E-US inks. It is imperative that it is decided prior to installation which ink set will be desired. The information below discusses the inks sets, the quantities needed for order and installation expectations for either ink set.

    6-Color Standard Ink Configuration (CMYK + Gloss + White)

    Inks needed for installation order:

         1 bottle of cleaning solution
         2 bottles of each of CMYK
         2 bottles of each of White/Gloss

    4-Color Configuration (CMYK)

    Inks needed for installation order:

         1 bottle of cleaning solution
         2 bottles of each of CMYK

    *Cleaning solution is not needed for startup, but is necessary for daily cleaning.

    Warranty and Registration

    1-year warranty requirements

    • The printer must be registered within 60 days of installation.
    • No 3rd-party inks can be used in the printer.

    To maintain the warranty on the EU-1000MF printer, Roland requires daily (excluding weekends or Holidays) use of the EU-1000MF and requires a Nozzles Test print and the Roland QC Print-Quality.pdf printed during normal business hours Monday to Friday (Excluding Holidays).


    To record this, either save each print daily or take a photocopy of the print and a close-up of the print-date stamp. Roland may desire the proof of these records if a warranty claim is in question.
