  • On submitting your application we ask that you send the following proofs either by uploading below, or by sending an email directly to admin@laalmarrasrescuegroup.co.uk we need these passed to the homecheck team prompty in order to book in and carry out your homecheck.

    • Proof of ID - Preferably photo ID, if this is not possible please upload a photo of yourself holding your birth certificate.
    • Proof of Address - This can be an official letter from council, utility provider, bank, NHS or the government.
    • Proof of Permission to Adopt a Dog - This applies if your home is rented. We will need either a copy of your tenancy agreement outlining their stance on dog ownership or a letter from your housing association, council or landlord. If you are applying for a dog intending to be a support animal, we will need a letter from your landlord supporting that allowance if dogs are otherwise not permitted and also a letter from a health professional involved in your care recommending a support dog. (Dogs in these situations will be rehomed on a foster to adopt scheme until there is confirmation that the dog has been recognised as an ESA by the relevant landlord).
    • Photographs of every room the dog will have access to in your home.
    • Photographs of every secure, privately accessed garden attached to your home. If you do not have a secure or private use garden, it is expected your dog is kept on lead at all times in that area.
    • A short video walkthrough, that should start outside your front door, and should show you walking in to the house and a quick pan around in to every room. This should be recorded in a continual flow, and helps us more accurately gage space and check for potential areas in your home that may need consideration for a particular dog.

We safely store all your data in line with our current data protection policy which can be found on our website at www.laalmarrasrescuegroup.co.uk

Although upload or email are preferred, we can also accept proofs via Whatsapp if there are technical issues. Please reach out to admin via our email link to let us know and we can contact you directly.

Once the homecheck team has a completed proofs check list, someone will contact you to book in an in person or virtual home check. Due to us being solely volunteer based, this usuallys take up to 72 hours but can take longer if we are helping with emergency or crisis situations.
