Safety Briefing - Artemis

Please review the following safety items discussed during your pre-charter briefing. All items must be acknowledged to continue.
I have been shown the location and proper use of life jackets and flotation devices aboard the vessel.I understand how to safely board and disembark the vessel using designated handholds and non-skid surfaces.I have been informed of the location and use of the onboard marine toilet (head), including fresh water use and privacy protocol.I have been advised on how to safely move about the vessel while underway or at anchor, including seated areas and restricted zones.I understand the location and use of emergency equipment including the fire extinguisher, horn, radio, and kill switch, and how to alert the Captain in an emergency.I have been briefed on the itinerary, current weather conditions, and any expected navigation hazards.I understand that if alcohol is brought aboard by guests, it must be consumed responsibly and in compliance with the Captain’s instructions. The Captain may end the charter at any time if safety is compromised.I agree to notify the Captain or crew immediately if I feel unwell, see a safety concern, or require assistance during the charter.I have been briefed on how to safely use the swim ladder and enter/exit the vessel during optional beach access, swimming, or shelling stops.I understand that the Captain may limit or cancel beach access at any time due to weather, tide, or safety concerns.
Shore Access & Shelling Activity Policy
Artemis Charters, LLC may offer guests the opportunity to briefly visit a beach or sandbar location for shelling or sightseeing. All participation is voluntary, and guests should exercise caution when walking in natural environments. Proper footwear, sun protection, and hydration are strongly recommended.
I understand that Artemis Charters, LLC may, at the Captain’s discretion, offer an opportunity to disembark the vessel via the stern ladder into shallow water for beach access or shelling. I acknowledge that this involves walking in water, on sand, or natural terrain, which may include sharp objects, marine life, uneven footing, or slippery conditions. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in shore access or beach-related activities.I agree to follow all instructions from the Captain and crew while boarding, disembarking, and exploring ashore. I understand that reboarding will occur via the vessel’s swim ladder and may require moderate physical ability. I accept full responsibility for my own safety and the safety of any minor in my care during this activity.
Swimming & Water Access Policy
Artemis Charters, LLC prioritizes your safety at all times. Swimming and entering the water are generally not permitted during our charters. However, under calm, anchored conditions and at the Captain’s sole discretion, a brief, supervised swim stop may be offered.

Guests who enter the water do so entirely at their own risk and must follow all instructions. Unsafe behavior will result in immediate termination of the charter. Swimming is never guaranteed and is not considered part of the standard charter experience.
I understand that swimming is generally not permitted aboard Artemis Charters. If an exception is made at the Captain’s discretion, I enter the water voluntarily and entirely at my own risk. I release Artemis Charters, LLC, its captain, and crew from all liability associated with swimming or water access.
Liability Acknowledgement
Please review and acknowledge each of the following statements by checking the box. All items must be agreed to in order to participate in the charter.
I acknowledge that boating and related activities involve inherent risks including but not limited to slips, falls, motion sickness, collisions, and unexpected weather or water conditions.I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in this charter and understand that Artemis Charters, LLC, its owners, captain, and crew are not liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss except in cases of gross negligence.I agree to follow all instructions from the Captain and crew, and understand that failure to do so may result in early termination of the charter without refund.I understand that alcohol may be consumed in moderation, but unsafe or disruptive behavior may result in termination of the charter and/or notification of authorities.I understand that Artemis Charters, LLC is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property brought aboard, including electronics, clothing, cameras, and valuables.I release and discharge Artemis Charters LLC, its captain, crew, agents, and affiliates from all claims or liabilities arising from my participation in this activity, including those caused by ordinary negligence.I certify that I am in good physical condition and capable of safely participating in this recreational activity, and will notify the crew of any condition or concern before boarding.I consent to emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary during the charter and authorize the captain or crew to seek such treatment on my behalf.
I grant Artemis Charters, LLC permission to use photographs or video taken during the charter that may include my image for marketing and promotional purposes.
Final Consent
By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions presented in this waiver and safety acknowledgment form. I certify that I am participating in this charter voluntarily and accept all stated risks and responsibilities.
