As a VocaLab Australia alumna, she has trained extensively in vocal education and pedagogy, refining her approach to evidence-based and technique-driven vocal training.

As the founder of Mayo Creatives, Mayo has built a dynamic platform that revolutionizes voice education, bridging the gap between technical mastery and authentic artistic expression. She has worked with singers, educators, and industry professionals, both locally and internationally, fostering a global network of empowered voices.
Mayo Ortiz is a member of the Sing Philippines Youth Choir (SPYC), a national choir established in 2014 by the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Andrea O. Veneracion Sing Philippines Foundation, and the Philippine Madrigal Singers to fulfill National Artist Andrea O. Veneracion's vision of uniting the nation through song. Under the guidance of choirmaster Mark Anthony Carpio, Mayo and fellow talented choristers from across the country embarked on a European goodwill tour in late 2024. The tour included performances in Spain and Portugal, highlighted by their fourth-place finishes in both Polyphony and Folklore categories at the prestigious 55th Tolosa Choral Competition, showcasing Filipino cultural heritage and earning international acclaim.
Beyond her professional work, Mayo is a passionate advocate for music as a tool for healing and empowerment. She serves as a sound therapist and trauma-informed voice professional at different children's shelters such as Little Children of the Philippines in Dumaguete City where she helps child survivors of human trafficking and different kinds of abuse reclaim their voices through creative expression.
Mayo's dedication to vocal artistry, education and healing extends beyond borders. This July, she will represent her community at the Estill World Voice Symposium in Chicago, expanding her expertise and network among global vocal leaders and experts. Committed to bridging voice science, pedagogy and healing with her community's needs, she continues to enrich her teaching with innovative, impactful insights, ensuring that every voice she nurtures is heard, empowered, and celebrated.
