Junior Panther is in need of several volunteers. We currently have the following positions open. Without people to do these jobs, we may have to make adjustments to our program. Please indicate your interest in volunteering by selecting and of the options below.

Treasurer - This person oversees the finances of the organization and is responsible for a variety of items such as cutting checks for tournaments, equipment ordering and payment, deposits from rec games, and occasional coverage of Sunday k-2 rec games.
Concession Manager - This person oversees concessions on Sundays for k-2 rec. They coordinate with the UTHS Booster Club on materials and make sure concessions are covered for each Sunday from October 26th-December 14th. K-2 Rec usually runs from noon-1:30 or noon-3:00 at the latest depending on the number of teams.
Boys and Girls Travel Tournament Director - This person organizes the tournaments for the boys and girls travel teams. The boys tournament runs Martin Luther King Jr. weekend and the girls tournament date is being finalized. The tournament director is responsible for advertising the tournament, organizing concessions and referees, and creating the tournament schedule for the teams that are entered.
Rec coordinator - This person is responsible for organizing coverage on k-2 rec Sundays including setup and teardown of the gym. The UTHS boys basketball team helps with setup and teardown, so this position mostly is responsible for being present to help with any issues that may arise.
Cheer coach/director - This position oversees our cheerleading program. Cheer performs on Sundays during the k-2 rec games. Cheerleading also practices once a week. The cheer coach/director organizes and coaches practices as well.

Coaching Information:
If notified that you are a coach, a background check will be required. Equipment distribution will occur on September 29th at 6 PM at UTHS. At equipment distribution you will receive your equipment, practice info, rules, a schedule, and parent contact information.

Unruly or unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated from players, coaches, or spectators. Violators will be asked to leave. There will be zero warnings given to any spectator, coach or player. Severity of the conduct may constitute permanent removal for the remainder of the season. No refunds of registration fees or admission fees will be issued. You are responsible for making the policy known to those that accompany the player(s) to practice an games.
