We’re currently hiring Community-Based Direct Support Professionals to provide full-time weekday support to adults with developmental disabilities. Our clients are high-functioning individuals who thrive with encouragement, structure, and positive social experiences. Position:
Community-Based Direct Support Professional
Schedule:
Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
(Full-Time, Community-Based Role)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support adults with developmental disabilities in community settings such as parks, libraries, local businesses, and volunteer sites.
- Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and social skill development.
- Promote progress toward Individual Support Plan (ISP) goals through daily community participation.
- Safely transport participants to and from activities using your own vehicle.
- Use your creativity and knowledge of local events to plan engaging, meaningful outings.
- Provide positive behavioral support and redirection when needed.
Accurately complete daily activity documentation and progress notes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities (preferred).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and drive your own vehicle.
- Must have valid car insurance.
- No accidents or major traffic violations within the past 3 years.
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Dependable, positive, and professional attitude.
- Knowledge of local community activities and resources.
- Consistent weekday availability (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
