We’re currently hiring Community Engagement Staff to support clients during weekday evenings and weekends. Our clients are high-functioning adults who thrive with encouragement, structure, and positive social experiences. Position: Community Engagement Staff
Available Hours:
Monday through Friday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
Responsibilities:
- Support high-functioning adults with developmental disabilities in community settings such as parks, libraries, events, local businesses, and volunteer sites.
- Encourage independence, social interaction, and progress toward ISP (Individual Support Plan) goals.
- Safely transport clients to and from scheduled activities using your own vehicle.
- Use your knowledge of local events and places to plan meaningful, engaging outings.
- Monitor behavior and provide positive support and redirection as needed.
Accurately document daily activities, goals, and progress notes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and drive your own vehicle.
- Must have valid car insurance.
- No accidents or traffic tickets in the past 3 years (clean driving record required).
- CPR, First Aid certification, and medication certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be dependable, positive, and have an outgoing personality.
- Must have a good understanding of local events and places to take clients for meaningful engagement.
- Availability during the listed hours is required.
