Each Artist is encouraged to submit 2 pieces!
- One piece that represents their artwork and practice in general. This should be something that is already made, written, or rehearsed and can give folks a sample of where your work is at currently
- And a second piece that responds to the rule of our local oligarchs, their exploitation of our communities, and manipulation of our government and cultural institutions OR reflects on the possiblilties of a future beyond the rule of the rich- imagining/building a world controlled by working people.
We are excited to share that all written work (poetry, prose, essay) will be considered for the Winter issue of Riverwise Magazine. The Riverwise team is partnering on the show! Poetry, prose, fiction, and nonfiction are all welcome. published works will be limited to 1500 words, but longer works can be included in the show.
Historically we have displayed written work on the wall as a printed page, either framed or unframed. We are very open to alternative displays and visions from writers! Depending on the amount and style of the work our curatorial team is also considering a live reading event as part of the show. If you have ideas please include them in your application.
This will be Our November/December Show.
Applications are open through 10/17
Artists will be notified 10/22
The show will run through the month of December and pickup will be scheduled for the week following the show close
