  • Darren Wong | Pedatric Brain Cancer | Sacramento, Ca

Last November, Darren's family got dealt a very challenging life card, when he was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, Group 3—a high-risk brain tumor and cancer. Since then, his life has been filled with countless treatments, hospital stays, and psychological challenges. His quality of life is deeply affected, but his spirit remains strong.

This journey is incredibly tough, and while his family is standing by him every step of the way, they also need support. Medical expenses, travel costs, and time away from work have created a financial burden, and they want to ensure that Darren has the care, comfort, and future he deserves. Their goal is to not only help with immediate needs but also create a savings fund for him—to give him hope, security, and the chance to experience the love and kindness of a community that stands with him.

Every donation, share, and kind word means the world to them. Thank you for helping wrap Darren in the love and support he so greatly needs. ❤️ Donate directly to Darren's GoFund Me

  • Imani Nduati | Pediatric Brain Cancer | Sacramento, Ca

Imani is a sweet 13-year-old girl who loved swimming, volleyball, and dancing, before her life was turned upside down by a brain cancer (Medulloblastoma) diagnosis in December 2024. She underwent two successful surgeries and radiotherapy.

Imani is currently on treatment for Medulloblastoma and Cerebellar Mutism Syndrome (a complication of brain surgery that she developed post surgery). CMS is a fairly common complication in childhood brain surgeries and is characterized by loss of speech, muscle weakness, difficulty with coordination and balance, emotional lability etc. Thankfully, Imani was able to regain some of her speech after about a month. She is still undergoing various therapies to help correct her speech and mobility difficulties. Donate directly to Imani's GoFund Me.

  • Kevin Chase | Multiple Myeloma | Rio Linda, Ca

Kevin was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (MM), a rare blood cancer, in March 2024. Since his diagnosis, Kevin has undergone weekly chemotherapy treatments, bringing his MM levels down from 80% to less than 1%—an incredible milestone! His oncologist and medical team are thrilled with his progress.

The next crucial step in Kevin's journey is a bone marrow transplant (BMT) at Stanford Medical Center. This procedure, also called a stem cell transplant, will replace damaged or unhealthy bone marrow with healthy blood-forming stem cells. While there is no cure for Multiple Myeloma, this autologous transplant (using Kevin’s own stem cells) offers him the chance at a better quality of life.

Support helps cover the costs of:

Lodging, food, and transportation near the Safe Zone.
Transportation for their daughter and granddaughter (3x a week to/from school and drumline practice).
Meals for the girls while Kevin and Cheryl are away.
Your generosity means the world to as they navigate this challenging time. Kevin’s strength, determination, humor and the love and support from our community are the foundation of his journey toward recovery.  Donate directly to Kevin's GoFund Me.
