About Auxira
Auxira is reinventing how cardiology care teams scale. We embed virtual pods of experienced Advanced Practice Providers, Medical Assistants, and RNs into existing workflows—expanding capacity without overhauling infrastructure or burning out physicians. Backed by MedStar Health, Abundant Ventures, and the American Heart Association, Auxira delivers measurable improvements in access, revenue, and provider well-being.
The Role
As Head of Business Development, you’ll lead Auxira’s growth strategy across both new business and existing client accounts. You’ll drive the full sales cycle—from lead generation to deal close—while also working closely with implementation and clinical teams to identify and unlock expansion opportunities within current partnerships. You’ll be directly responsible for new logo acquisition and same-store growth, with incentives aligned to both.
Key Responsibilities
- Own revenue goals across new and existing clients
- Lead sourcing, pitching, and closing of new cardiology practice and health system partnerships
- Cultivate relationships with C-suite leaders, clinical directors, and operations executives
- Drive existing customer growth by identifying opportunities to expand scope with established clients (e.g. adding new pods, geographies, subspecialties)
- Partner with implementation and account teams to ensure delivery is exceeding expectations and creating future upsell opportunities
- Develop and refine commercial playbooks, value propositions, and pitch materials
- Oversee contracting and deal structuring in collaboration with legal and finance
- Represent Auxira at key industry events and with strategic partners (AHA, ACC, MGMA, etc.)
- Track and report pipeline health, close rates, and expansion metrics to inform executive decision-making
- Partner with members of the board to build pipeline and connect with key opportunities
Ideal Candidate
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare sales, strategy, or partnerships, ideally with a services or tech-enabled care delivery company
- Energized by the variety and momentum of early-stage work, who shares our belief that better cardiology care can save lives and improve clinician well-being
- Proven success owning both net new sales and account expansion
- Comfort navigating provider organizations and building trust with physicians and administrators
- Consultative approach to selling that centers the client’s goals and workflow
- Highly collaborative and capable of aligning across clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders
- Strong communicator with executive presence and a high degree of emotional intelligence
- Experience in virtual care, provider staffing, or specialty practice transformation preferred
Why Auxira
- Build and shape the commercial engine of a high-growth company solving real problems for cardiologists and patients
- Work directly with a seasoned leadership team and mission-aligned investors
- Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits including performance-based incentives for new and existing revenue growth
Compensation: Base $150K-$180K plus uncapped variable compensation and equity
