Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships
The Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships is Australia’s premier beach volleyball tournament. Queensland has had incredible success at this tournament, defending the President's Trophy as overall champion state since 2015.
The Championships comprise Under 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 age groups for girls and boys and will be held:
9–12 March 2026 at Coolangatta Beach
Volleyball Queensland is seeking applications from;
- mentor coaches with a VA Level 3 accreditation who have previous experience in a mentorship, leadership or an educational role focusing on sports coaching is highly desirable. Applicants should have a contemporary technical and tactical understanding of the game at an elite standard, and have been active in the sport over the past five years.
- volleyball coaches who are experienced in representative team programs and hold VA Level 3 accreditation, to be appointed as Age Group Head Coaches and/or
- volleyball coaches who are qualified with minimum VA Level 2 accreditation to undertake assistant coach roles across the five available girls’ and boys’ age groups.
All appointed coaches will be required between late November and March to:
- Contribute to the identification of squad members at the trial on November 1st
- Conduct scheduled training sessions
- Attend the compulsory age group specific tournaments
- Coach and supervise teams at the Championships
- Complete a coaching workshop with the Mentor Coach

All applicants must hold a current Qld WWCC Blue Card throughout the program
Final coach selections will be made by the Volleyball Queensland State Team Program Committee and recommended to the Volleyball Queensland Board for approval.
