I accept full responsibility for the dog(s) or cat(s) actions at all times, and release Being Vulgar for the Voiceless Rescue and Outreach from any liabilities or damages that may be incurred because of fostering / adopting such dog(s) or cat(s).
I agree to have Being Vulgar for the Voiceless rescue and Outreach complete reference call checks and conduct a home visit inspection to be able to approve my foster / adoption application.
I agree that if I'm unable to foster or keep the the dog(s)/ cat(s) anymore that I will return the dog(s)/cat(s) to Being Vulgar for the Voiceless rescue and outreach and try to give Being Vulgar for the voiceless rescue and outreach a 2 week period to try and find another suitable foster/ adopter for the dog(s)/ cat(s).
FOSTER EXPECTATIONS:
1. Fosters/ ADOPTEES should realize that in most cases, we do not know much in the way of history of the animal in question. Temperament, how the pet interacts with various people and other pets cannot typically be confirmed until the dog is in its foster home and given proper time to Decompress from its past / or life on the streets.
2. The first few days a foster / Adoptive pet is in its (new)or temporary home can be stressful for both the dog and the foster. Keep in mind the pet is now living in a new situation with new surroundings and new people. Please follow our 3-3-3 guidelines to allow pets to become acclimated to their new surroundings and daily routine.
3. We ask that new fosters keep the foster pets for a minimum of 1 week to allow for adjustments and decompression before deciding to return a foster back to the group because you feel it will not work out (unless in severe/ extreme circumstances). If, however, the foster is not working out, Being Vulgar for the Voiceless will take the animal back but We ask for your patience and up to 1-2 weeks to find a replacement foster to take your place. We are foster based so we don’t have a building to bring extra pets back to and we cannot go over the legal limit allowed per our cities ordinances.
4. Being vulgar for the voiceless’ utmost goal and mission is to seek out the best FIT for the animal at hand. To ensure they never get dumped back onto the streets nor end up being returned down the line. BVFTV will NEVER place animals into the first available home without ensuring it’s the best fit for all. Our animals will never be a first come first serve basis.
-Please note some animals may need a foster for a couple days, whereas some medical babies might need a longer stay. Please be willing and dedicated to fostering until adoption to lessen the amount of times the pet gets bounced from home to home.
5. In most cities and townships there is a limit by city ordinance on the number of animals you can have in your home at one given time. Please ensure you are within your legal limit so we don't have an issue down the line with your local animal control agency.
We do strongly prefer that you not foster other dogs/ cats from other organizations without first consulting us. If a fight breaks out or an animal gets injured it’s a huge liability issue. Please do not take in stray or owner surrender dogs. Taking in a stray or owner-surrendered animal whose medical history is not known also allows for possible transmission of disease to other household pets and even family members as well as poses the chance for pet altercations which can land pets in the vet hospital with thousands of $$$ in vet bills.
6. Being vulgar for the voiceless has specific veterinarian clinics and hospitals that we work with for all of our rescues needs. You MUST obtain permission from BVFTV before scheduling or taking your foster pet to a vet for any reason. If you do not obtain approval you will be solely responsible for the vet bill.
Failure to Return Clause:
In the event that the foster refuses or fails to return the pet to the rescue upon request by Being vulgar for the voiceless the foster agrees to pay a non-refundable fee of $500 to cover breach of contract, recovery costs, and any further compensation for recovering the pet. This fee is due immediately upon demand.
Furthermore, Being vulgar for the voiceless holds the right to pursue legal action, including but not limited to filing a claim in civil court, to recover possession of the animal(s). The foster will be responsible for any and all legal fees, court costs, and associated expenses incurred by BVFTV in the enforcement of this clause which is a different cost outside of the $500 fee for breech of contract.
I am aware that by submitting this contact, I agree to provide what is needed for the health and safety of the animal(s) in my care for Being vulgar for the voiceless outreach and rescue. I further agree to assume all responsibility for the foster animal(s) in my care while on or off of my premises. I also agree to assume all liability for the animal(s) while I foster it.
please note we do not allow for animals to be outside pets. Please plan on keeping the animal INSIDE of your home.
I fully understand and agree to assume all risks involved in any and all duties that I perform for being vulgar for the voiceless. This waiver includes myself, all of my family members in the home and descendants forever from seeking any legal action whatsoever against Being vulgar for the Voiceless outreach and rescue or its Representatives.
By submitting this application I also fully understand that the pet(s) is owned solely by Being vulgar for the voiceless outreach and rescue . Until the adoption fee has been paid in full and the adoption contract has been reviewed and signed by the rescue.
Until the adoption is approved by Being vulgar for the voiceless, we retain the right to collect the foster from your premises at any time. I also understand that when I resign as a foster to return any equipment and unused supplies provided to me by BVFTV. By submitting this application, I submit I am at least 18 years of age and have entered this contract on my own free will.
