Bridge the Gap Fund Application

This fund, led by Live It Learn It in partnership with EmpowerED and the Council of the District of Columbia, is designed to address the disparities in student experiences across Washington, DC public and charter schools by providing financial assistance and logistical/programmatic support to all PreK-12 educators to bring impactful, hands-on, immersive experiences to your students - whether that's a field trip, a PBL project, an outdoor educational adventure, and so much more!
About the Application

This application contains five (5) sections that will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. You may save your application and return to it later.

As a reminder, the first round of funding will be issued in November 2025. Funding will be released on a rolling basis until 100% of the grant ($375,000) has been dispersed.

***NOTES***
- Each teacher can only apply for one Bridge the Gap Project per school year.
- Please ensure your project is rooted in experiential learning: a field trip, teaching artist workshop, Project-Based Learning project, etc.
- Educators are welcome to apply! If you are an administrator, please make sure a classroom teacher is submitting the application.

Section 2: Bridge the Gap Project

The Bridge the Gap Fund was designed to address disparities in experiential learning opportunities across Washington, DC public and charter schools. In order for your project to be considered, please make sure it provides an experiential, hands-on learning opportunity. Examples include field trips, workshops, Project-Based Learning projects, outdoor educational adventures, etc.
