PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
All accepted artists must:
• Pay a $35 participation fee and have a current Carbondale Arts membership
(due upon acceptance).
• Work two 4-hour shifts during the event. (If you cannot volunteer, commission increases from 30% to 40%.)
• Clearly label each item and submit a detailed inventory list upon delivery.
(Inventory sheet instructions will be available on a separate document once accepted)
• Deliver or ship wares Nov 5–7 (must arrive by Nov 7).
• Provide a bio (max 100 words) and headshot by Nov 7.
• Pick up unsold items Jan 5–6, 2026.
IMPORTANT DATES
• Sept 22 (Mon) – Application & product images due (by 11:59 pm)
• Sept 26 (Fri) – Acceptance notifications sent; fees & memberships due
• Nov 5–7 (Wed–Fri) – Deliver wares & inventory sheet due (by appointment, 10 am–5 pm)
• Nov 7 (Fri) – Bio & headshot due
• Nov 14 (Fri) – Members-only Opening Day (time TBD, probably 4-7pm)
• Dec 24 (Wed) – Last day of Deck the Walls (closing at 2pm)
• Jan 5–6, 2026 (Mon–Tue) – Pickup of unsold wares
DELIVERY & SHIPPING
• Deliver wares in person Nov 5–7, 10am–5pm (by appointment).
• Ship items to arrive no later than Nov 7 to:

WORK SHIFTS
• Two 4-hour shifts are required; duties include restocking, sales processing, and simple packaging.
• Shifts assigned on a first-come, first-choice basis (Nov 14–Dec 24).
COMMISSION & SALES
• 30% commission on all sales (40% if not volunteering).
• Commissions fund arts education and community arts programming.
• Our 2024 top 5 vendors earned $6,000+; our top 3 earned $10,500+ during the 6 week event.

DISPLAY
• All items must remain for the full 6-week event.
• Carbondale Arts determines final display arrangement.
• Gallery pedestals/shelving provided. Bring specialty display items if needed (e.g., jewelry props); space for wall art is limited.
• Holiday market aesthetic—expect mixed displays rather than grouped work.
• Special display requests considered but not guaranteed.
DECK THE WALLS HOURS
Mon–Fri: 10 am–5 pm
Sat & Sun: 11 am–4 pm (Sundays after Thanksgiving)
Holiday Closures
Nov 26–27: Closed for Thanksgiving
Dec 24: Closes at 2 pm (final day of market)
PICK-UP PROCEDURE
• Jan 5–6, 2026 (10am – 4pm each day).
• Late pickups may incur fees due to limited storage.
• Artists cover return shipping costs.
