D2D Student/Parent Agreement Form 2025-2026

Tuition*

A non-refundable first and last months tuition is due when registering for a full dance season. If paying for the full year, a check or charge can be used. Tuition is set up per year with one full payment or broken into ten monthly payments. Each monthly payment is due at the beginning of the month. When paying in monthly payments, an additional service charge may be added to the amount if payment is made through debit or credit card payments. Monthly tuition amounts do not change if the student is absent or if there is a varied number of weeks in a given month. Taking make-up classes is highly encouraged but not required. It is D2D policy, not to return tuition payments for any class lessons missed due to absence of the student.

Student Essentials*

I agree to discuss any learning disabilities, medical conditions or behavioral concerns with the D2D staff upon registration to ensure the student is paired with the best instruction for the dancer.

Health / COVID*

Dancers will refrain from coming to the studio if they have a fever over 100, flu-like symptoms, COVID-related symptoms, or otherwise not feeling well. The family is asked to notify the studio immediately if the student tests positive or is in close contact with someone who tests positive. Students are asked not to return to the studio until all symptoms are no longer present. Please do not come to the facility if you are sick; this is not exclusive to COVID-related symptoms.

Withdrawal*

Students enrolling into a full season agrees to be enrolled for the full season (approximately 38/42 weeks). We DO NOT refund any payments taken if the full year is not completed and paid in advance.

Attendance*

Regular attendance is expected at D2D and prompt arrival is expected. Inconsistent attendance can affect student's advancement and possibly remove their opportunity to perform in celebration events like showcases or recitals with their class. If a student MUST miss class, please notify the studio by phone (973-498-0009) or email (njdaretodreamdance@gmail.com). Make up classes will be available at the same level or a level below. Make up sessions are not required but highly encouraged. Students must be picked up promptly after classes have concluded.

Dress Code*

All hair MUST be tied back, worn neatly off the face and fastened securely. Hair buns are recommended and preferred. This not only allows complete unrestricted movement, but also enable the instructor to see full body alignment. All students are expected to wear black leotard, pink tights, black jazz pants, and the appropriate shoes depending on the aligned genre of dance. Each instructor may have additional specifications for clothing that they will review with the students at the first class. Chewing gum is prohibited in the studio at all times and refrain from wearing any loose jewelry. D2D is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Class Placement*

Class placement is based on technical merit. Age is used as a guide. Class placement is determined by the instructor for all levels. New students, ages 8 and older should speak with the instructor or staff prior to signing up for a class to find the most appropriate fit for their age and dance level.

Parent Observation*

D2D Studio has very limited space, which prohibits regular observation windows for viewing your children continuously. Parents will be invited to attend a visiting class session during one "Parent Observation Week" for the dance season. During this week, ONE parent/family member, per student, will be invited into the studio to watch the student's class. (This policy is subject to change at the studio's discretion or any rise in COVID/sickness outbreaks).

Weather & Holiday Cancellations*

Please check our website, social media pages or call the studio for class cancelations due to inclement weather. We will also send push notifications via text message to all parents/emergency contacts in the event there is an unexpected closing. Please ensure we have complete Emergency Contact Information on file for your student.

Liability*

Students and parents hereby release and hold harmless the directors, instructors and staff of Dare to Dream Dance Center, LLC. from any and all liability resulting from any injury or damage sustained by students and/or parents. D2D is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

Studio Media & Photo Release*

D2D has my permission to use mine, my child, my likeness, photographic image on its website, advertising, social media pages, or other business appropriate means. Photos taken by Dare to Dream Dance are the sole property of Dare to Dream Dance, LLC. Names of students will not be posted on social media without the expressed permission from the student (if over 21 years of age) or by the student's parent/guardian (if under the age of 21).

I have read, understand and accept the policies and procedures listed in this Student/Parent Agreement Form provided by Dare to Dream Dance Center. This signed agreement is being completed during enrollment for classes at Dare to Dream Dance Center, Cedar Grove, New Jersey.
