  • Course Description: The Virginia State Driver's Education Program consists of two phases. For teenage students, the in-car phase includes a minimum of seven periods of actual driving and seven periods of observation. Each period of instruction is 50 minutes. Normally, two periods of instruction are given per session. Students 17 years of age and under must complete 36 hours of a State Approved Driver's Education program before receiving their

    Drivers Education Program: Students 18 years of age and older must complete a state-approved driver's education program before receiving a driver's license. Alternatively, they may hold a learner's permit for 60 days. This duration may be reduced upon completing a state-approved driver's education program. The program includes 36 fifty-minute classroom periods and 14 fifty- minute periods of in-car instruction (7 driving periods and 7 observation periods

    Behind-The-Wheel License Course: $350 Adult Waiver Course: $400 3 Lessons (1 Hour Each) for Teens & Adults: $200 5 Lessons (1 Hour Each) for Teens & Adults: $300 7 Lessons (1 Hour Each) for Teens & Adults: $400 1 Hour Class and DMV Road Test: $170

    Refund requests must be submitted in writing. If instruction is discontinued for any reason, tuition fees will be calculated for completed sessions, and any remaining balance will be

    refunded within four weeks. Lesson Cancellations: Students must cancel or reschedule in-car lessons at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to

    do so will result in a $25 fee. The school will inform the student of any cancellations or rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance. Replacement of Completion Documents: A $35 fee will apply to replace any completion documents.

    Alpha Driving School does not guarantee that students will pass the state license examination, secure a driver's license, or obtain employment upon completing the course.
