Workshop Description: The wandering projector
How does our perception of animation change when it leaves the cinema and is projected into everyday spaces?
This workshop explores new relationships between image, space, and audience by projecting animation onto walls, floors, plants, fabrics, and other surfaces.
The session begins with an introduction to relevant artistic examples. Participants then work in small groups using portable projectors to conduct projection experiments in space. The focus lies on how the impression of animation shifts depending on its spatial context.
In the final part, participants share their experiences and insights, deepening their understanding of how animation can be reimagined in new forms and settings.
