About THRIVE

The THRIVE Family Development Project is a FREE, 2-week, Monday to Friday program that supports families with young children by removing barriers and creating opportunities. While parents and caregivers take part in individualized workforce training and employment support, their pre-school children receive quality care and early childhood development activities with Registered Early Childhood Educators.

Currently, THRIVE is offered mostly at Port Cares in Port Colborne, and occasionally at The Hope Centre in Welland, providing families with a safe, welcoming space to strengthen financial stability and prepare children for a positive transition into school.

Groups will be from 9:00AM - 1:00PM, MON-FRI:
- Port Cares in Port Colborne - September 14 - September 25
- Port Cares in Port Colborne - September 28 - October 9
- Port Cares in Port Colborne - November 2 - November 13
- Port Cares in Port Colborne - November 16 - November 27
- Port Cares in Port Colborne - November 30 - December 11
Condensed group from 9:00AM - 4:00PM, MON-FRI with lunch @ 12:00-1:00PM:
- Port Cares in Port Colborne - October 19 - October 23
