• Mana Highlights Wall Proposal

The Highlights Wall is a dedicated space at Mana Contemporary designed to showcase the work of artists within our community. This initiative provides a focused opportunity to feature artworks or installations representing the artist’s practice, offering visibility within a high-traffic space.

Open to Mana-affiliated artists who are active members of the community, this program highlights the diverse talent within our community, celebrating individual artistic voices through a rotating display. Selected artists will present their work that speaks to their current explorations, creative process, or conceptual interests. Works in all mediums, suited for wall presentation and ready to hang – including painting, drawing, photography, and mixed media – are welcome.

The featured works will remain on view for several months, and the artists will have the opportunity to share insights about their practices through the organized Highlight Tours. This program aims to foster connection and recognition among Mana artists while providing a platform for meaningful exposure.

  • Eligibility and Deadlines

Eligibility: Open to artists with a current studio or affiliation with Mana Contemporary. You can only apply for a highlight wall for the floor that your studio is on. The displayed wall will be assigned based on the size and material of the work, as well as the impact of the installation.

Installation: The selected artists will be responsible for the installation and deinstallation of the work; due to the structure of the walls, the works have to be hanging with nails or hooks, unless otherwise notify in advance during the submission process.

Exposure: The exhibition will be featured on Mana’s social media for the duration of the show and will be included during the public tours.

Opening Dates: Mana Contemporay will celebrate the Highlight Walls during internal open studios. Dates TBD.

Submission Requirements: 1-2 images of the proposed work no bigger than 1MB. A brief statement (150–250 words) about the piece and its relevance to your practice.

Deadline: Ongoing. Applications are reviewed twice a year and aritsts notified when accepted to present.

Submissions will be reviewed shortly after and announced as soon as the decision is made. The review will be done by Mana Contemporary and Monira Foundation representatives and affiliated members.
