    • Michigan Gateway Community Foundation (MGCF) administers many scholarships designed to offer aid to students that represent unique characteristics. Please check each of the qualifiers in the next section that apply to you. This data may increase your likelihood of qualifying for selected scholarships. Please note, if you are eligible for a scholarship based on any of these qualifiers, you may be asked to produce documentation verifying your unique eligibility.

    • You are eligibile for the Joseph Norton Sheteron Memorial Scholarship. If you wish to apply for this scholarship you must:

      • Submit an essay statement on your "love of the game" in the box below
      • Include a letter recommendation from either a coach, athletic director, or principal. Upload this recommendation when prompted at the end of your application. This will count as 1 of your two letters required to finalize your entry.

You should address in your essay: your post-secondary education goals and choice of major (if known), what you intend to do with your education, and why a scholarship is important to you. Include any academic and non-academic accomplishments, personal characteristics, or experiences that make you uniquely worthy of scholarship consideration.
