2026-27 TFAA Photo Club Application
Please submit this application if you are interested in being a part of TFAA Photo Club. We will meet once a month on Thursdays - 2:45 - 4:30 p.m. starting in September. You will receive a letter or email letting you know whether you were accepted into this club. Our group size is limited to allow hands-on teaching with the adult leaders. The club fee will be $30 and will cover a club t-shirt and art show expenses.

This application is due by Wednesday, August 26th.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU PLAN ON DOING DRAMA CLUB THIS YEAR, PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF IT BELOW. IT IS HARD TO ATTEND OUR MEETINGS WHEN YOU ARE IN DRAMA CLUB AND WE NEED TO FACTOR THAT INTO ACCEPTANCE TO PHOTO CLUB.

Are you available to meet on a Thursday afternoon until 4:30 p.m. once a month? Dates to be determined later.
Are you planning to sign up and be involved in the Drama Club? We have found that if you do both clubs and are involved in the spring production, you end up missing a few of our meetings? We need to factor this in if we have a waiting list of students interested in Photo Club.
Are you planning to sign up and be involved in the any other club or sport that will require attendance, practice or games on Thursday afternoons? We need to factor this in if we have a waiting list of students interested in Photo Club.
Do you have a DSLR camera that you can use for photo assignments at home and at school? A point and shoot is acceptable. Cell phone cameras are not accepted. We do have a few cameras that we are able to loan to students for assignments.

IMPORTANT

Photo Club applicants will be split into two groups.

* New applicants (no matter what grade) will be in Photo Club 1. Group 1 will have their first meeting on Thursday, September 10th.

* Returning applicants will be evaluated based on their engagement, motivation, and growth during their previous years in the club. Some students might need more time in Photo Club 1 to review topics and participate more in the assignments. Others will be assigned to Photo Club 2 and this group will have their first meeting on Thursday, September 3rd.
Photo Submission

You can submit this application without the photo but you need to email us this photo before the deadline to be seriously considered for this photography club. Every assignment requires you making a photo submission. You need to show you are responsible and committed to participating. If you have any trouble submitting, just reach out to either Mrs. Hartley or Tara Spradley.
To help us know more about you, think about the photos you see that interest or inspire you. This can be something you have taken yourself (with camera or cell phone), something you have seen online, an advertisment in a store or billboard, an image in a book, an idea in your head...the options are endless.
