North Area - Build Mississippi/Mississippi State Board of Contractors Scholarship
FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Requirements
3 letters of recommendation: One personal (not a relative), and two academic (Academic may include: Instructor, Director, Principal or Coach. (Please make sure all letters are signed)Maximum of 200-words, essay that explains why you are going into the construction industry and what this career path means to you.Official High School Transcript or Grade Report with current GPA listed. (Grade report must be on school letterhead and signed by school administrator or office staff)

Awards
1. A successful applicant will receive $500.00 in funds paid directly to the enrolling institution of higher learning or to Build Mississippi Apprenticeship Program. The scholarship will be a one-time award per applicant.

2. Applications will be reviewed, and recipients selected by the Build Mississippi/SBOC Scholarship Committee which will consider the applicant's interest in construction, grades, and letters of recommendation.

3. Awards will be presented to the scholarship recipients during the Build Mississippi Awards Day Program. Date is TBD.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS PROVIDE ACCURATE CONTACT INFORMATION TO ENSURE THAT WINNER NOTIFICATIONS REACH APPLICANTS PROPERLY. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM BY APRIL 21, 2025.
