Heartland Christian School pledges to:

We agree to provide clear and complete directives to parents and students via the Parent/Student Handbook which is revised as needed.

We agree to provide sufficient academic work-time in the daily schedule to allow student to have minimal homework.

We agree to provide spiritual guidance in various forms to every child encouraging appropriate spiritual growth.

We agree to carefully track tardies and absences, both excused and unexcused. Each student is allowed up to 12 unexcused absences annually.

We agree to provide a variety of non-academic opportunities (Art, Music, Leadersip, Athletic, Field Trip) for each child. Such activities will be well supervised, whether on or off school premises. Facilities will be monitored for safety and security.

We agree to discipline in gracious, yet firm ways. The staff of this school will communicate serious disciplinary issues with parents as they occur.

We agree to provide clear and accurate information concerning financial obligations and expectations. This information will be provided in a timely way and handled discreetly.

We agree to set each student on a pathway to academic and personal success. However, we realize this school is not ideal for every student.

We agree to provide frequent communications with parents as it relates to the student. Commuications may be written or verbal.

I/We agree to read and follow the directives included in the HCS Parent/Student Handbook (available on the school website ADMISSIONS tab)

I/We agree to set homework completion as a priority when/if it occurs.

I/We agree that weekly parent and child church attendance Bible study and prayer are necessary components to a spiritually healthy life and will strive for these components

I/We agree to ensure that my child arrives on time each day, and to keep unexcused absences to a minimum.

I/We agree to give permisison for my student to take part in school activities, including sports and school-sponsored trips away from school premises, and absolve Heartland Christian School from liability to me or my student because of any injury to my student at school or during any school activity.

I/We agree to support the teachers in all matters of discipline. If have questions or concerns about these matters, I will seek clarification from the staff involved.

I/We understand the financial obligations created by my child's attendance at this school are binding and will make timely payments to avoid discontinued enrollment and/or removal from the School Choice(voucher) Program. If am unable to make payment when it is due, I will contact the Finance Office.

I/We realize that all incoming students will be on a 30-day probation period to determine if this school is the right fit for my child.

I/We agree to share information with the school staff as it relates to my student in a personal or academic way If have concerns I will address such with the staff involved
