  • 💚Hey there - thanks for being here!
We’re exploring how young adults (aged 18-29) experience feeling connected or disconnected in their daily lives. We’re especially curious about how the places you live, your culture, and even institutions like schools or public services can shape those feelings.

We want to hear your stories, thoughts, and feelings - what helps you feel connected, and what makes you feel lonely. Your voice will help us understand what really matters so we can design better, more welcoming spaces - both physical and online - for young people.

  • ⚠️IMPORTANT!

✨ Your privacy is important: We’ll keep everything you share confidential. Please avoid adding personal details like your full name, address, or anything else that could identify you or someone else. If you accidentally include them, we’ll remove anything that could identify you before it’s used in any way.

📝 Your choice: All questions are optional. You can answer as much or as little as you like, and you can stop anytime.

✉️ Anonymous participation: This is an anonymous testimonial. At the end, you’ll have the option to leave your contact details.
    • If you don’t leave your contact info, we won’t know which story is yours - so we can’t remove, change, or withdraw it later if you change your mind.
    • If you do leave your contact info, you can ask us anytime before 01/11/2025 to edit or delete what you shared.

❓Got questions or concerns? If you have further questions or concerns about the project, you can contact me directly at edson.nishikido@gmail.com or my advisor, or the programme lead.

  • 🗣️Share your story

Tell us about a moment when you felt really connected - or completely left out. No names needed. You can answer in any language you want.

If you’re stuck, you could talk about:

    • What was going on around you.
    • How it made you feel about belonging (or not).
    • If your culture, identity, or background played a part.
    • Was it somewhere you usually find connection (with people, places, or online), or was it different?
    • How did it match - or differ from - how you normally connect with others?
    • From that moment, what do you wish others understood about connection or loneliness?

Your story will help us understand how to make spaces where people feel welcome and supported.

  • Optional Information (Anonymous)

Share as much or as little as you want. Skip anything. We won’t publish identifying details. These responses help us understand the diversity of experiences.

  • 🙏 Thank You

Thanks for trusting us with this. Your experience matters and helps us design better answers to support young adults.
