• Hesed Place Confidentiality Agreement

For Volunteers, Staff, and Board Members
  • At Hesed Place, respecting the privacy and dignity of the individuals and communities we serve—including clients, donors, members, volunteers, staff, and the organization itself—is a core organizational value. We are entrusted with sensitive personal, financial, and organizational information, and we are committed to handling that trust with the highest level of integrity and care.

    1. Confidential Information
Volunteers, staff, and board members may have access to information that is confidential, privileged, or proprietary in nature. This may include but is not limited to:

    • Client personal or case information
    • Donor and financial data
    • Internal policies or strategies
    • Volunteer and staff records
    • Program materials, designs, and documentation

    2. Obligation to Maintain Confidentiality
All confidential or sensitive information must be protected and not disclosed to any person or entity outside of Hesed Place without written authorization from the Founder or the Executive Director. This obligation applies both during and after your service with the organization.

You are expected to take reasonable care to ensure that confidential information is not:

    • Discussed in public or shared spaces
    • Overhead by unauthorized individuals
    • Left in written or digital form in unsecured or visible areas

    3. Storage and Return of Materials
All documents, files, or work created on behalf of Hesed Place—whether physical or digital—must be securely stored in the organization’s designated shared drive or protected storage systems.

Upon separation from your role (volunteer, employment, or board service), you must return any physical or digital materials containing confidential, sensitive, or proprietary information. No copies may be retained without written permission.

    4. Intellectual Property
All materials, documents, and work products created by volunteers, staff, or board members as part of their service to Hesed Place are considered the intellectual property of Hesed Place. These may not be used, published, or distributed outside the organization without express written consent from the Founder or Executive Director.

    5. Breach of Confidentiality
Unauthorized use or disclosure of confidential or privileged information is considered a serious violation of Hesed Place’s policies. Such breaches may result in disciplinary action, including removal from your role, and legal action where applicable.

By signing this agreement, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to comply with Hesed Place’s confidentiality policy, and that I will uphold the values of safety, respect, integrity, and excellence in all my work with and on behalf of Hesed Place.
