Hello!
The way forward for a stuck judicatory—or any church governing body—starts with healthy dialogue among its key leaders. The Future-Ready Judicatory Assessment is designed to spark those essential conversations and provide insight into areas of strength and opportunities for growth. While it’s called a judicatory assessment, it can be used with any church governing body, such as conferences, dioceses, synods, or districts, across a wide variety of denominational and organizational contexts.
No automated assessment can fully capture the uniqueness of every leadership situation, but this tool can help you identify the conversations that matter most for moving forward. Simply do your best to answer each question, and don’t worry if a few seem outside your immediate context. The real value lies in the dialogue the assessment inspires—not just in the numbers.
This assessment will:
- Help you identify strengths and growth opportunities in your governing body’s leadership and ministry capacity
- Provide you with an accompanying Results Packet to guide strategic conversations among your leaders
- Aid in uncovering hidden challenges your leadership team might not yet recognize
- Highlight unique opportunities for revitalization and innovation
- Offer prompts and discussion starters to help your team move forward together
When taking the assessment, here are some things to keep in mind:
- The assessment uses a sliding scale—just move the slider to the spot that best reflects your current experience.
- This assessment will serve your judicatory best if it is taken by more than one key leader. For compiled results, it is recommended that at least 5 members of your team take the assessment.
- If you want to compile results as a team, be sure to include information about the name of your judicatory or governing body.
Leadership teams should never be in the dark about the realities they face. Take this brief assessment, use the packet to interpret your results, and engage in meaningful dialogue about the hopeful, thriving future of your judicatory—or governing body—together.
