PARTICIPANT CONSENT AND RELEASE AGREEMENT
Duration: 60 minutes; Remuneration: $50 USD Amazon gift card
1. Purpose of the Interview: You are being invited to participate in a research and publishing project conducted by The Divergent Dispatch. The purpose of this interview is to gather and analyze lived experiences of autistic adults diagnosed in adulthood.*

2. Voluntary Participation: Your participation is entirely voluntary. You may refuse to answer any question and may withdraw from the interview at any time, without penalty, and still retain the remuneration.*

3. Remuneration: You will receive $50 USD Amazon Gift Card as a token of appreciation for your time, provided after the interview is completed. You will have to provide an email address to receive the gift card.*

4. Recording and Transcription: With your permission, the interview will be audio- and/or video-recorded and transcribed for analysis. The recordings and transcripts will be securely stored and accessible only to the project team.*

5. Use of Interview Content: By signing this agreement, you grant The Divergent Dispatch the non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide right to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and distribute the contents of your interview (including quotes and narratives) in whole or in part, in any format, for research, educational, publishing, and promotional purposes, including but not limited to: 1) Written reports, articles, or books 2) Presentations, online publications, and media content 3) Research analysis and datasets. This is not a scientific project. Therefore, no scientific reporting or peer review will be conducted.*

6. Anonymity and Identification: You may choose whether your name or identifying details are included in any publications:*

7. Confidentiality: If you choose anonymity, all identifying information will be removed or altered in any published materials. Confidential data will be stored securely and not shared with third parties outside the project team, except where required by law.*

8. Intellectual Property: You retain the copyright to your own words. By signing this agreement, you grant The Divergent Dispatch (part of The Daily Divergent) a license to use them as described in section 5 without further payment or approval.*

9. Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent for use of your interview at any time before the data is published by sending a written request to kalesan@thedailydivergent.com. Once material is published, withdrawal is no longer possible.
