  • The Club Person of the Year Award - The Jack Marsh Trophy

    This Award goes to a person who has provided excellent service to the LNC during the year. Any Club member can nominate another Club member. You just need to tell us why you think your nominee deserves to be Club person of the Year. Please remember, this Award is not always presented, even if there are nominations, as nominees need to have provided a significant level of service to the Club during the year.

    Coach of the Year - The Sue Moore Trophy

    Please name the coach and the team that they coach and tell us why you think they are the 2026 Coach of the Year. This does not need to be about how many wins a coach has achieved, it's about the effort, inspiration or specific achievement the coach has achieved.

    Umpire of the Year - The Jan Miles Trophy

    In 2026 we are excited to anounce this new club award. This award is for an umpire you believe has provided a consistently high standard of umpiring.

    If you aren't sure of the umpire's name please reach out to the Umpire Coordinator (leemingnetballumpire@gmail.com) or President (leemingnetballpresident@gmail.com) for assistance. If you can recall which game/s in which they umpired that you or the team were particularly impressed with, the club can check against the rostered round.

  • This prestigious award was donated by Jack Marsh (one of our very dedicated coaches for many years) for the purpose of acknowledging outstanding contribution to the LNC during the season by a person/player who has gone above and beyond their role within the club.

    The club will use club values to assess nominations, rewarding individuals that demonstrate the following values: 

    AUTHENTIC -true to self and club, able to reflect on self and communicate clearly

    PROGRESSIVE-open to new ways of doing things

    UNIFIED- focused on bringing people together

    PASSIONATE-committed and demonstrative in support of LNC

    DISTINCTION-aiming for the best level of performance possible

  • Sue Moore Trophy (Coach of the Year)

  • This award is for outstanding service as a coach, in memory of a committed and dedicated coach to Leeming Netball Club, Sue Moore. The Awards Sub Committee will use club values to assess nominations, rewarding coaches that demonstrate the following values: 

    AUTHENTIC - true to self and club, able to reflect on self and communicate clearly

    PROGRESSIVE - open to new ways of doing things

    UNIFIED - focused on bringing people together

    PASSIONATE - committed and demonstrative in support of LNC

    DISTINCTION - aiming for the best level of performance possible

  • Jan Miles Award (Umpire of the Year)

  • Jan Miles has demonstrated over 30 years of active engagement with Leeming Netball Club, contributing to our club since it was founded and continuing to build strong connections within the wider netball community.

    This award is to acknowledge excellent service to the netball club in umpiring, with the following criteria considered:

    LEADERSHIP AND PRESENTATION


    1. Demonstrating confidence on the court with a strong whistle & hand signals


    2. Communicating well to the teams & coaches


    3. Show respect & support for players & coaches where necessary


    4. Looking well presented to represent LNC (ie: white umpire shirt)


    5. Arriving at the court on time 10 to 15 mins before game time.

     

    OVERALL PERFORMANCE


    1. Does the umpire behave ethically & in a progressive manner?


    2. Does the umpire manage the game & overall pace of play?


    3. Does the umpire handle in-game situations & unexpected occurrences to the best of their ability?


    4. Does the umpire maintain control of the game environment?


    5. Is the umpire approachable for questions or concerns from players & coaches?


    6. If this umpire is umpiring Net Set Go to 11U levels do they support, direct or explain calls to players when needed? 


    7. Have you seen an overall improvement from the umpire over the course of the season?

  • Team of the Year

  • The award for team of the year is given to the team considered the “BEST” team throughout the season. This is not necessarily the team that wins all games but a team considered to be respectful to their coach and fellow teammates and show outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season. 

    Teams will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate our club values, that is an authentic, progressive, unified, passionate and/or driven approach to the season.
