Precan- A Learn-to-skate program designed for younger skaters, minimum age 3 , with little or no previous skating experience. 30 minute lessons.

CanSkate- Skater should be able to: get up after falling, move forward, and stop on their own.
A dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. 45 minute lessons.

Families may choose to stop skating after the Christmas showcase without cause and will not be charged for the full season . Fees will be $160 1 Day or $205 2 Day to cover lessons and skate Canada fees

For skaters who want to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate, and artistic skating.
45 minute Group Lesson. Practice time for each group starts after their group lesson. Private/semi private lessons will be available afterwards

FUNDRAISING/VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

We will be having a skate-a-thon fundraiser in lieu of selling gold cards .
Every skater is required to join the skate-a-thon and raise a minimum of $50 in pledges. Families with more than one skater must raise a total of at least $100.

For those that do not want to participate you can pay $50 per skater or $100 per family directly to the club.

Volunteer duties include: Selling 5 Basket of cheer tickets at Christmas, Soliciting/making a donation for the Carnival auction as well as helping at either the Christmas Showcase OR Carnival. These fundraisers are per family .

Ice and coaching fees are very expensive. Registration fees do not cover this so we must fundraise. If you do not wish to fundraise or volunteer you will be subject to the $200 in extra fees .

Waiver of Liability and Agreement

I agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations of Skate Canada and the Claresholm Skating Club (Club). I agree that the Club and / or the Executive Committee and Coaches will not be held responsible for any accident or loss, however caused, and damages, which may arise, from such accident or loss. If a medical emergency occurs with my skater(s) and I am not available to take charge, the Coach or a Club Member may call for an ambulance or other medical assistance. Costs of ambulance or other services will be my responsibility.
I give permission for the Club to publish names, skating related information and photographs of myself and skaters listed on this form.
