Call for Guest Co-Hosts

Hi! Memoriver Radio is going to Other Places Art Fair in San Pedro, California on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Memoriver Radio is a sonic capsule/audio zine that drifts from place to place. It's part radio art, part ephemeral archive, community-centered, offering a floating recording space for sharing stories, dreams, poems, sound experiments, or spontaneous interviews. Each session becomes part of a living, sonic tapestry--an informal oral history shaped by those who pass through. And I'm looking for volunteer co-hosts during OPaf.

🗓️ Date & Time: Sept 27, 2025 (11am - 6pm)
⏳Shifts: 1 or 2 hours
🎤 Role: Lightly co-guide conversations with participants. No experience needed—just curiosity and openness. We're recording memories, stories, fragments, and mini interviews.
🎧 What you’ll do: Think of it like hosting a cozy, open-air podcast. Together, we’ll keep the conversation easygoing and inviting. You’ll also dream up at least one gentle prompt or question you’d love to hear others respond to.
🎁 Compensation: Volunteer-based, a micro stipend

A gentle note: Throughout the day, there might be quiet pauses or back-to-back conversations. Staying present during these moments is part of the co-host experience and helps nurture a warm, caring space for all.

Please limit phone use, unless you’re exchanging contact info or attending to something important. Feel free to bring a journal, sketchbook, or reading material. Thank you for being part of this shared experience!

Health & Safety

Memoriver Radio will take place outdoors. Masks are welcome, and you don’t need to remove them while speaking into the mic. You’re welcome to bring your own headphones (3.5mm jack), and we’ll also have disposable headphone covers, hand sanitizer, and wipes available.

If possible, please take a rapid COVID test the morning of your shift. If you test positive, feel unwell, or have any symptoms, stay home and let me know — we’ll adjust and figure out another way you can contribute. Let’s look out for each other and keep the space safe and comfortable for all. (:
