Recreational and Competitive Baton Twirling classes available

  • What is Baton Twirling?
Baton Twirling is a sport, combining baton, dance and gymnastics with artistry. It
requires hand-eye coordination to be able to toss the baton in the air as your body
spins, leaps or moves underneath; uses fine motor skills and precise timing to roll baton correctly on the body while in motion; requires agility, flexibility and poise. It is a sport that builds confidence and instills the value of teamwork and dedication.

  • Recreational Class
Athletes will be introduced to the basic skills of baton twirling. These classes are offered at the age of 3 years and up. The focus will be to learn new skills as well as having fun.

    Competitive Class
Athletes in these classes are more experienced in baton twirling. The skills are more complex and will increase in their difficulty and skill as the athlete shows improvement, and not before the athlete is ready. Athletes will be required to spend at least two hours per week at the gym as we prepare for competition. Competitive athletes that choose to compete individually as well will be required to practice at a minimum of 3 hours in the gym per week. They are also required and must commit to compete in the mandatory competitions (usually 4) selected by the Technical Director at the beginning of the season.

  • *In the event that you require other payment arrangements, this is also an option that can be discussed with the group director.

Any additional costs: costumes, tracksuits, practice T-shirts, choreography, competition fees, etc. Will be invoiced at time of purchase, none of which are mandatory for recreational.

  • Purchase price will depend on availability of the sizes of those needed and batons
currently available to the group. Brand new baton (sizing limited) $35, Used baton $15.
Batons purchased through Starline Batons online are $44.98USD + tax and Duty.
