Welcome to La Dolce Vita at the Orvieto Musica Chamber Music Festival

Five curated days of Orvieto—Monday through Friday—with cultural encounters, survival Italian, artisan and culinary experiences, selected meals and the music of Orvieto Musica.

Please note: Sunday is arrival day. Saturday is intentionally unscheduled, leaving you free to shop, explore Orvieto, attend the evening concert and join our closing meal. Sunday morning departure transportation leaves Orvieto for Rome Fiumicino at 8:30 am.

Please complete the Registration Form in full so that we may prepare every detail of your stay to the highest standard. Note: each person must complete a separate form whether participant or guest.

The form will take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete. For assistance at any stage, our Enrollment Team is available at admin@orvietomusica.org.

Guests of the Festival may pre-order a signature Orvieto Musica T-shirt, available in a range of styles and sizes. To reserve yours, indicate your preferences below and complete payment here.

2027 Payment Schedule

Balance due Monday, March 1, 2027

If you require an alternative payment plan, please submit your request via email to admin@orvietomusica.org before the posted payment deadlines.

Payments can be made via the Payment Hub on our website, and are subject to a card processing fee. To avoid these fees, payments by check are accepted.

All program fees listed on our website are only guaranteed through March 1, 2027; later registrations may be subject to surcharge.

Payment Policy

By submitting your Orvieto Musica Registration Form, you confirm your agreement to pay all program fees.

Submission of this form is a commitment to the full cost of attendance, even if you are later unable to participate, except as outlined below.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
We look forward to welcoming you to Orvieto. Should your plans change, the following cancellation policy applies:

Through March 15
Full refund

March 16–April 30
50% refund

From May 1
Registration is final and non-refundable.

Cancellation requests must be received in writing by the applicable deadline. Please email admin@orvietomusica.org.

Approved refunds will be returned to the original form of payment or Zelle.

Please note: Orvieto Musica cannot refund costs related to travel, accommodations booked outside of our program, or any other third-party expenses. We strongly encourage you to consider purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in case of unexpected events.

As a reminder, all flights should be booked for arrival at Leonardo Da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). All times listed in Central European Time (CET).

Group Travel Requirements

Participants should travel with the group from Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Orvieto. The group bus departs 12:30 PM CET on your program’s start date, with an approximate travel time of 90 minutes. Upon arrival in Orvieto, your apartment host will meet you, assist with luggage, and guide you to your accommodations.

Independent travel is strongly discouraged, as it complicates check-in, housing access, and the day’s schedule. If you arrive in Italy early, we recommend staying in the nearby town of Fiumicino for convenient shuttle access to the airport on your program’s start date.

If You Cannot Join the Group Bus

Participants unable to join the group bus must meet the group in Piazza d’Armi, Orvieto between 2:45–3:00 PM CET. Your host will meet you at that time to assist with check-in.

If you miss both the bus and the Piazza d’Armi meeting, you must arrange your own accommodations for that evening and check in the following day at 9:00 AM at Affittacamere Valentina, 7 Via Vivaria, Orvieto, Italy. After 3:00 PM, faculty and staff are unavailable for check-in assistance.

Independent Travel to Orvieto

Independent Travel to Orvieto If arranging your own transfer:

• By Train – Arrive at Orvieto Scalo (base of the hill) by 2:30 PM CET. From there, take the funicular or local bus to Piazza d’Armi for the 3:00 PM meeting. Allow 30 minutes for the transfer.
• By Taxi from Rome – The journey takes 90–120 minutes and costs approximately €400 if pre-booked. Taxis can drop you at Piazza d’Armi at 3:00 PM.

There is no Uber or Lyft service in Orvieto. Local taxis in Orvieto are limited, require pre-booking, and are unavailable during riposo (1–4 PM).

Accommodations and Early Arrival

Festival housing is available only from your official arrival date. Participants arriving earlier must arrange their own lodging until festival housing opens.

Booking Your Flights  (any arrangements outside of these time frames will not guarantee transit from Rome FCO to Orvieto or the return trip) 

• Arrival Flights – Book to arrive at FCO by 11:30 AM CET on your program’s start date to join the group bus.
• Departure Flights – Group transportation returns to FCO by 11:00 AM CET on departure day. Book flights for 12:30 PM CET or later to allow for check-in, security, and passport control.
