Celebrate 100 Years of Salford with Creativity and Community!
Join us at Broughton Community Centre for a series of free creative workshops and help design a banner marking 100 years of Salford’s city status. Through hands-on activities and open conversation, we’ll explore the past, present, and future of Salford, celebrating the voices that shape our community.
You'll learn textile and sewing techniques, and discover how banners have been used to express shared values and local pride. One session includes a visit to the People’s History Museum, where we’ll explore the powerful history of protest and community banners.
No experience is needed and all materials are provided. Come to as many or as few sessions as you like. All welcome!
