Rising Stars in Reproduction 2026
Ideal Rising Stars in Reproduction nominees are early-career/junior faculty investigators at the Assistant Professor, or equivalent, rank. Self-nominations and multiple nominations of domestic and international researchers are all welcome. Nominees should be within about 6 years of starting their own lab, or independent research, and not tenured (for US), and/or within about 10 years of completing their PhD. A clear publication record of independent research is a critical selection factor, published as first or ideally last author. Publications on the nominees research should generally be impactful, high-quality research (new discovery, new cutting-edge method, working on a paradigm shift, utilizing an underrepresented model system, etc). Mentorship, community engagement, and community recognition especially within reproductive biology, and most especially within the Society for the Study of Reproduction also set apart exceptional nominees.
