In the pursuit of tailoring SwampMUN to satisfy the needs of all our delegates, we have allocated difficulty levels to committees that reflect the level of competition and complexity. The ratings are available below:
UNESCO - Beginner
UNSC - Beginner
WTO - Beginner
EU - Intermediate
NPCPRC - Advanced
Beginner committees are meant for those with little to no MUN experience. These committees will spend the most time covering the basics/procedure of MUN as well as dedicated training segments. Time will be spent explaining and elaborating on the nature of each committee and what delegates should be aiming to accomplish.
Intermediate committees are meant for those that have participated in a few MUN conferences but want to continue recieve real-time constructive feedback on their performance. These committees will have some training segments at the beginning of the weekend but will resume as a regular MUN conference about halfway through the first day. These committees also offer a taste on non-traditional General Assembly roles that represent a specialized set of delegates from a specific set of nations, such as those from the European Union.
Advanced committees are meant for delegates should expect conditions similar to other conferences such as GatorMUN and other major high school events. These committees will only recieve instruction during the first session of the weekend and resume the rest of the conference unimpeded. This committee will also be completely different from the standard General Assembly format with delegates assuming the roles of state officials instead of national diplomats. Every competitive conference has a few non-traditional committees.
