  • Instructions for Parents and Caregivers

Thank you for helping us test these short affirmation story poems, designed to help young children feel connected to nature and supported in their sense of self.

    Before You Begin

    • Choose a calm time when your child is generally alert and comfortable (e.g., morning, after a snack, or before bed).
    • Tell your child about Wonder Worlds – a book with magical worlds inside to explore.
    • Explain that they have been chosen to look at/listen to the book and share what they
    • think about it, and they will be given a free physical book by taking part.
    • Make sure the video is visible and the sound is clear.

    During the Video

Simply play the video for your child. Let your child watch and listen. While you do not need to do anything special, feel free to follow your child’s lead on how much you interact with them during the video. Observe your child’s reactions and responses. Do they smile? Ask questions? Show curiosity? Express calmness? There’s no right or wrong reaction—just notice what naturally happens.

    After the Video

Ask your child which was their favourite story poem and why (this could be how it made them feel; if they liked a particular message, illustrations, or characters).

Ask your child if they would like to look at/listen to Wonder Worlds again.
