  • The Gender and Family Project (GFP) empowers youth, families and communities by providing gender affirming services, training, and research. We have been leading community groups for trans* and gender expansive (TGE) youth and their caregivers for nearly 15 years.

Our youth groups focus on finding joy in community, developing resilience, and providing a safe place for TGE youth to be themselves. Our caregiver groups provide a space for caregivers to find community, advice, and support as they navigate their relationship with their TGE child and the broader society. Our groups are open to caregivers at any stage in their journey of acceptance and advocacy for their TGE child or young adult.

To expand our network of support and provide our groups to families outside of the NYC Metro area, the Gender and Family Project (GFP) will be offering two new VIRTUAL community groups for:

    • Trans and gender expansive young adults 18-24
    • Caregivers of trans* and gender expansive youth
