Our parish welcomes all those who seek to explore or deepen their spiritual practice and connection to Jesus Christ. If you feel a draw to a full, formal integration into the Roman Catholic Church, we'd love to have a conversation with you. Use this form to express interest in our programs or simply let us know you'd like to have a conversation about next steps.
St. Ignatius Parish of San Francisco offers seekers three structured programs to prepare for Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation).
The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is a 9-month journey that prepares adults to enter the Roman Catholic Church. This is for individuals who have never been baptized or who have been baptized in another (non-Catholic) Christian tradition.
Our Adult Confirmation Program is a 6-session journey that provides Baptized Catholics with hands-on opportunities to revitalize their faith practice in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This is for people who have been baptized in the Roman Catholic Church who have not received Confirmation.
For those not yet sure what their spiritual journey will look like, we offer quarterly "Explore Catholicism" conversations on Zoom that cover the fundamentals of Catholic belief and practice.
